HubPages FAQ

How remiss of me not to come here and write a damn thing. No excuses, other than life sometimes gets in the way ...

I wrote a hub a little while ago about the most frequently asked questions on the site - HubPages FAQ. And I'm amused to note that whilst it's being read, it's not being read enough. Because ... though my tongue was firmly in cheek, the questions I used really are the most common one's that are asked, time and again.

I have two thoughts about this. Two very furtive, busy little thoughts:

  1. A lot of folks are genuinely clueless and become easily confused after they open their account
  2. A whole lot more are so lazy it beggars belief. Or at least it slightly reduces the financial standing of belief

My first thought allows me to be helpful. Whilst I wouldn't say I was clueless, I did stumble around a little on HubPages to start with.

It's my second though that irritates me. Or at least - not my second thought so much as the lazy buggers that join up then bounce into the forum - without so much as a 'hello' and want their hands holding. Being a benevolent frog, I keep my gums clamped and remain patient but now and again ... I huff and puff a little.

And I ignore pleas for hand-holding.

If ever you read this, Dear New Hubber, and your in the second thought class - beware the wrath of frog. Think before you ask a really dumb HubPages FAQ ... within minutes or hours of joining. My time, and that of a league of extraordinairy hubbers, is just as precious as yours.

So do yourself, me and them a huge favor - go read the damn instructions.
