HubPages Income Rocks

HubPages income rocks. Simple. It's passive, quiet, hangs around in the lower echelons of my income stream but - I can't argue with it's very real consistency.

It took me a while to work out what HubPages was all about, never mind understanding how to draw an income from it. However, once that day dawned, I've managed to eke a small monthly amount from the site. I say small becuase currently, that's what it is.

Earning roughly around the £100 per month mark is not a lot but it's £100 (extra) that I wasn't earning several months ago. And the beauty of it is ... the amount grows, month by month.

It's not a get-rich quick scheme by any stretch of the imagination but it does make a difference to your earning power over time. I intend to continue what I'm doing and hopefully, a year or two down the line, my online efforts will have multiplied considerably.

The best advice I can give to anyone looking to boost their monthly earnings is to write. And write a lot. However - there's more to just online writing than first meets the eye. You have to understand how to market your articles, the basics of SEO and how to write an interesting article.

I've recently discovered the benefits of backlinking my articles. This is a must. Although some of my articles have been picked up and backlinked for me, it's not the norm.

I've embarked upon a backlinking project. I use (currently) three different sites: RedGage, SheToldMe and Xomba. Of the three, I prefer RedGage. Xomba seems to take a little while to index and SheToldMe appears to take quite some time to release your link full stop.

It's not unknown to find that they're 'queued' for more than a week or so.

I also write full articles and link back to them, on Go Articles, Ezine and InfoBarrels. The first three are revenue sharing. Of the last three, only Info Barrels share revenue. Still, both are 'authority' sites and worth writing for.

And I wish I could say that all the effort is easy. It's not. It's a lot of work. But I feel the output (now) will reap me a lot of benefits someway down the line.

And so ... if you are looking for a place to learn, a place to write, then why not start at HubPages. You will be the better for it, if an online passive income is what you're looking for.
