Jam Bread

I have been multi-tasking the day. I'm not a fan of it, I like to concentrate on one thing at a time. Otherwise you miss the important bits. Anyway, I've currently got several hubs open and half complete, four different windows on my screen and some jam bread in my left hand. I want it to be known that the jam bread has got 95% of my concentration.

Here's my jam-bread recipe:

  • Bread
  • Butter
  • Jam

Method: spread butter on bread, jam on butter. Eat.

Apparently, my thing with jam bread is veiwed as quite nasty by the portuguese. But then ... I keep saying the same about their propensity for eating snails. They're still eating them so I'm going to forge ahead with my jam bread.

Hubpages

I managed to publish a hub last night. No, two actually. Though in two separate accounts. I've also noticed an oddity. I have accidentally hit upon a niche that's successful. Plus it's two fold and one of the folds shouldn't work. Pregnancy. The www is saturated with it. Everyone's got an opinion or site or story or question. I should disappear under the avalanche of what's already out there. But I haven't. I appear to have found a niche - within a very large niche. The second fold of the two is this: it's an evergreen topic. About as evergreen as it's possible to get.

I decided upon it for no particular reason other than I was chatting about the subject and consequently though 'why not give it a go?'. So I did. However, it's not all luck. I put some effort into finding a keyword gap. Which I have found. I found more than one. I found a ton.

My purpose for posting this is simply because I've discovered that on occassion you can find an overused topic, niche, that's not used to it's best advantage. Despite the millions of pages/sites currently on the net (and growing) , there's a need for more. I guess much of it relates to optimising what you're doing, or how you're doing it.

The downside is I actually do feel pregnant. I'm currently stuck at 28 weeks but that's more related to being spanked a bit for publishing too many similar sounding hubs at the same time. I have another 12 weeks to go then I will have finally given birth.

I believe my hub-baby is going to have a dash of Mark Knowles, the tenacity of Lissie, an eye (or two) on life from Darkside and some good all round common sense from Maddie Ruud.

Now bugger off and make some jam bread. I don't usually give out free recipes.

Comments

Jam bread or snails...? Could be a tough decision in some parts. I don't even know how to eat snails... do you spread it on bread? Do you eat every part of it? Do you use a fork or a spoon? What is the proper drink to drink while you enjoy your favourite... species of snail?
And I'm happy for you that you have found a niche in the large niche. :) I still have no idea if you are actually pregnant. :)

Thanks for the recipe. I always spread the jam on first, and now I see the error of my ways.

And congrats on doing so well!! Remember Shiba when you make so much money that you start to think to yourself - "Hmmm, who should I give my money to?" :)
